As part of the Fish Farming and Technology Institute’s commitment to community engagement, and in collaboration with the University’s Communications and Conferences Department, the Institute was honored to host a group of students from Al-Farouq Al-Omar School, Al-Taif School, and the Suez Canal Authority School.
This visit took place under the patronage of His Excellency Prof. Dr. Nasser Saeed Mandour, President of the University, and under the general supervision of Prof. Dr. Dina Abu Al-Maati, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs.
On Tuesday, February 25, 2025, the Institute welcomed the students for an educational and informative field visit aimed at raising awareness about the importance of fish farming and introducing students to modern technologies in aquaculture and production.

During the visit, the students toured several of the Institute’s key facilities, including the ornamental fish tanks, the hatchery unit, and the fish rearing unit. They were also taken on an exploratory tour of the Institute’s various production units, gaining hands-on exposure to the different stages of fish farming operations.
This initiative reflects the Institute’s ongoing efforts to promote scientific knowledge among school students and strengthen the connection between the university and the local community.
